CIL / CRS - Mainstreaming Inclusiveness for Disabled Workers and Youth (MIDWAY)
Center for Independent Living Serbia implements the project Mainstreaming Inclusiveness for Disabled Workers and Youth in partnership with Catholic Relief Services – CRS, Center for Interactive Pedagogy – CIP and Faculty for Special Education and Rehabilitation – FESPER. Project is funded by USAID, CRS i Institute for Sustainable Communities - ICS with aim to enable integration of disabled men, women and children in Serbia . This project will also enable involvement of PWDs in programs which predict better and higher employment and edonomic development, using all available resourses and capacities in employment area. The strategic aim of the project is that persons with disability gain more opportunities for effective employment and project will be implemented in five Serbian municipalities - Novi Beograd, Kragujevac, Leskovac, Nis and Novi Sad. Center for Independent Living Serbia will initiate Coalition building in each of those municipalities including the representatives of: National Emplyment Burreau, local authorities, employers ( public and private ), relevant Ministries, Economic chambers, institutions which offer training skills for different jobs as well as other stakeholders important for this process. The aim of this Coalition is to connect persons with disability with development programs that promote employment in a way that this programs will help PWDs to be involved in labor force, providing and maintaing dialogue with employers and their representatives and following employment progress.
